Venezuela Breaks off diplomatic relations with Israel due to the seriousness of the atrocities against the Palestinian people
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela makes of the public knowledge, before the peoples and the governments of the world, its indignation for the reiterated disrespect of the state of Israel to the UN Security Council’s resolutions, the latter being approved on January 08, 2009.
Israel has systematically ignored the UN’s appeals repeatedly and insolently dishonoring the resolutions approved by the majority the members, and verging on the violation of the International Law.
Today, the vile behavior of the Israeli government means 19 days of continuous bombing, the murder more than 1000 people, and the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure; a human catastrophe is taking place before the eyes of the entire world.
This abhorrent cruelty against civilians is but a clear example of the repeated Israel’s use of State Terrorism that has taken the lives of the most vulnerable: children, women and the elderly.
The seriousness of the violation of the principle of peaceful coexistence of the peoples and the systematic use of the war as expansion strategy and persecution instrument against the Palestinian people give no place to any possible justification of these atrocious actions and show the spiteful premeditation of the Israeli government.
Given the above mentioned, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, abiding by its vision of a peaceful world full of solidarity and respectful of the International Law, definitely decided to break off diplomatic relations with the state of Israel.
Still, given the inhumane persecution to the Palestinian people by Israeli authorities, the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will insist in the International Community for the crimes against humanity made by Israel’s leaders to be denounced before the International Criminal Court.
